Mic Check 1, 2
Last night (though I still remain up at 4:42am) I went out to the Grindtime show. The environment I long so much of had come back to me for a couple of hours. I can't remember the last time I was near a cypher or even hearing someone rapping their favorite song on the street corner but last night I was given a chance to rekindle what had been lost. The event held up at the Satyricon. I've only went there a handful of times and each time I've went has been a treat, so I was very excited to see what had been up for last night's surprise.

The night started off with beat battling from individuals. Most of the talent was very young but the sound wasn't as amateur as they look. Basslines that strummed through the riding of unique drum sounds and patterns kept the crowds head bobbing back and forth like whiplash was in attendance and had paid a visit to everyone that was in the energy pumped crowd. Illmaculate (Sand People) and Epp Saheed hosted the show and kept the jokes cracking with also holding the place down for what is soon to be explained later on.

Through all the BOOM-PAT and bass throbbing penetrating the speakers went on, mini altercations had cooked up in the back within a few individuals. I don't know what happened, I wasn't really paying attention to the non-sense but to my personal opinion, I think it was the temperature in that room that were getting the people all angered for nothing like they were going through roid rage. I mean, I had on a flannel and a hoodie jacket along with 2 shirts under the outerwear, I was getting pretty mad myself. I was getting ready to just take all my clothes off and elbow the guy next to me. NOT.
This type of stuff went in and out for a while without me noticing. I really didn't hear or see anything until it got expanded and someone bumped me like they were trying to bum rush me for my camera case. People were scrambling everywhere when a fight had broke out. I had hopped onto the stage because I had figured that'd be the safest place to be, plus I always have a camera and do TRY showing you guys everything that happens around me, so you can get a glimpse of what happened. It's hard to see so just close your eyes and imagine yourself being in a mist of 5 sweaty, angry, roided up teenage kids stomping, ripping, and pulling at you like your name was Stretch Armstrong.
When a altercation breaks out and erupts, Luckyiam breaks out his technical device and interupts those who aren't fathoming crap.

After the ruckus had been moved out of the building and the men were separated from the girls...I mean boys, the show continued and more of the goods were brought to bring the crowd into the good feeling that it left off at. One of the greatest nights this year, need I say more?
God loves ya,
Be well.
